Crypto swap FAQs

Quick answers before you practice or start a live swap.

What is a crypto swap?

A crypto swap is the exchange of one cryptocurrency for another. For example, you can swap Bitcoin for Ethereum by sending one asset and receiving another directly in your wallet.

How do I swap crypto across blockchains?

Choose the asset and network you're sending from, then the asset and network you want to receive on. You receive the native asset on the destination chain. You can practice the full flow in the interactive walkthrough with a live quote before making a real swap.

Can I swap crypto without an exchange?

Yes. You can swap from your own wallet without creating an account on a centralized exchange. You can also fund a swap with an exchange withdrawal, as long as the asset and network are supported.

Do I need an account or KYC?

No. No signup or KYC is required. Each swap generates a unique deposit address for that transaction, so there's no account balance to maintain.

How long does a crypto swap usually take?

It depends on the blockchain and the route. Bitcoin deposits usually take about 17 minutes. Sending to Bitcoin is about 8 minutes. Most other swaps take about 2 to 3 minutes.

How do I check the rate before I swap?

Your live quote shows the exchange rate and estimated amount you'll receive before you send funds. Quotes update in real time from liquidity providers. Review the latest quote before you deposit.

Are fees included in the quote?

Yes. The amount shown under "You Receive" already includes protocol, network, and routing fees. The fee charged by your wallet or exchange to send the deposit is separate.

What's the difference between practice mode and a real swap?

Practice mode lets you learn the swap process using a live quote without sending funds. A real swap uses your own wallet addresses and an actual blockchain transaction.
